Rosa Aldoma, Marta Orden and Raul Arribas

As part of the Texas-Spain Visiting International Teacher (VIT) Program, Victoria ISD is introducing three new Bilingual teachers at Crain Elementary, all of whom originate from Spain.

Rosa Aldoma, Marta Orden and Raul Arribas will teach the third, fourth and fifth grades, respectively, as part of the Dual Language Program at Crain.

The Texas-Spain VIT Program is a cultural exchange program allowing Texas school districts to recruit experienced educators from Spain to teach bilingual or dual language classes. Victoria ISD was one of the school districts selected to participate in this program.

“We are very fortunate to be able to bring three very talented, enthusiastic and passionate educators to our VISD family,” said Roberto Rosas, director of multilingual education. “We hope they have a fantastic time with us and we look forward to an amazing year.”

The program is available in collaboration between the Spanish Ministry of Education, the Region 13 Educational Service Center (ESC) and the Department of State (DoS). Region 13 ESC serves as the program sponsor on behalf of the DoS.

Victoria ISD joins over 15 school districts across the state in employing visiting teachers from Spain.
